Although art is always interpretive, each canvas tells a complete story known to the painter and the character who presented for painting. One of Samantha’s joys is hearing the stories that they tell you when you look at the art. “These people have stories they want to share, so look for a long, loving relationship with these Gullah folk.” Annie works in a unique “Painting with Glass” style of mosaic, with stained glass being her chosen medium. Its innate quality of swirls and values of color are perfect for incorporating into the vibrancy she enjoys putting into her work. But, like any Mosaic artist, she is also inspired by anything broken.
