| Jack |
 |

Hello, my name is Jack and I am from Savannah,
Georgia. I have been married 34 years this December 2007, to my wife
Trisha, who is an Adoption Consultant for the March of Dimes. My
oldest daughter Stephanie is married and lives in Macon and my younger
daughter, Laurie, is working on her MBA at Mercer University.
My favorite activities and hobbies are college
sports, especially football. I love major league baseball, biking,
swimming, traveling, chilling out at the beach, and rock & roll
(especially the 50’s, 60’s, and early 70’s). I
also love playing with our 7 pets: 3 dogs, 3 cats, and a small parrot
What brought me to Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah
was my wife saw an advertisement. I had been a docent at Owen-Thomas
House and “went for it”. People always told me that as
a native, I gave great “5 cent tours”, so now it is a “real
job.” |

I
have lived in eight states, two provinces, and three countries. I
have always loved the state and the people of Georgia. When
I got the chance to move to the beautiful city of Savannah, I jumped
at the chance.
I love the deep history of Savannah and the characters
that play out their lives here. I am excited about showing
you the “Jewel of the South”. I am sure you’ll
find it sparkles as well.

From
the first time I came to Savannah as a 13 year old New Jersey native
with my parents, I’ve been intrigued with the city. I moved
here in 1991, working as a sportswriter for the Carolina Morning
News/ Savannah Morning News. I met my wife, Fran, and our
son Paul was born in 1997.
We moved to Colorado, where I worked as a newspaper editor. After
five years, the lure of Savannah – the people and the beach-
proved too great.
I’ve changed careers, anxious to show people why Savannah is
one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and home to this carpet-bagging
Yankee. |

After 28 years as a creative in advertising,
a recession, and the cold winters in the Northeast, I set my sights
on South Florida…sunshine, warmth, the palm trees, white sand,
and the blue of the Atlantic Ocean.
Twelve years later, Florida’s growth and the hurricanes of 2004,
pushed my adventure in life to throw the dart further north, Savannah,
Charleston and South Carolina. Three rounds on the Old Town Trolley
Tours, ghosts included, sold me on Savannah. |

Irenette |
|
Hi,
my name is Irenette, but my friends call me Nette. I have lived
in Savannah all of my life, but I was never so knowledgeable about
the town until I came to work for Old Town Trolley.
I have one teenage son who keeps me busy. Before coming to
Old Town Trolley I held such positions as a head teller at a bank,
a sales rep, a customer service rep, and a school bus driver. Now
I am a conductor. I was never much of a talker, but I guess
now I get to talk all day. |

a conductor for three years and I love it!
Everyone has been so pleasant and fun to work with. I can truly say
this is the best job I have ever had. Thanks Old Town Trolley—you

Kenny
- Safety Officer/Trainer |
|
I was born in Spartanburg, SC in 1951. I
am the eldest of 3 children. My primary education was at St.
Joseph Catholic School in Columbia, SC. While I was in high school,
my parents moved to Macon, GA, so I finished high school there. I
then furthered my studies and spent 2 years at Macon Junior College.
A slow economy and the privilege of youth allowed me the opportunity
to relocate to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. It was there that I met my
first wife and started a career in sales—first with a potato
chip route and then selling cars. I have a daughter named Sarah,
who is now attending Broward Community College in Ft. Lauderdale.
Because of family, I returned to GA and settled in Savannah. I
continued in Auto Sales for a while, but then moved into the antique
business.
I’ve been with Old Town Trolley now for 11 years, and have really
seen it all! I’ve enjoyed being a Conductor, Safety Officer,
and Training Officer for the best tour company in Savannah! |

as beautiful as I do!
Ya’ll come back now, ya hear?! |

Will
|
|
Greetings! My name is William “Will”,
and I’m proud to be a Conductor for Old Town Trolley. I
was born and raised in Kansas, but always had a desire to move closer
to the ocean. Having received a BA degree in Philosophy and a Masters
degree in Theology I enjoyed working in a variety of different positions
including administration, teaching, and pastoral work. After 25
years, I decided it was time for a change and decided to move south
near the ocean. Upon my arrival in Savannah in 2004 I immediately
fell in love with it: the Jewel of the Low Country, an old colonial
city bursting with charm was too much for this Kansan to resist!
In a strange but exciting way I’m still sharing my passion
for history, not from a desk or a podium… but as a tour
guide for Historic Tours of America…. WELCOME ABOARD!

Brian
"Mojo" |
|
Hello,
my name is Brian, aka “Mojo”.
I am a West Central Georgia native. I moved to Savannah in the summer
of 2006, and I love every minute of it. I grew up amongst pecan
and peach orchards. My favorite place to eat peaches was the “Peachoseum”,
called “Dickies on the Hilltop”. My aunt and uncle are
peach connoisseurs; growing up we would have our family reunions
there on the orchards.
I majored in Criminal Justice and moved to Savannah with hopes
of obtaining a job in that field, but I found myself in the hospitality
industry, and really enjoy it!
Hope you enjoy your stay! |

I was born, raised and graduated high school in Savannah. I went to Savannah State and got drafted into the army and served in Viet Nam. I am married, and after living 29 years in Atlanta I returned to Savannah in 2000. I have 11 grandchildren, and love all of them very much. But I love people in general, I like helping them and giving service to them.
I love all sports, once played but now just watch. I also love all kinds of music from country to jazz to gospel and even a little opera.
I needed a job, but I wanted one that interacted with people. Old Town Trolley gave me a chance to meet people from all corners of the world, and to learn and talk a little history which I find very interesting. And it helps me to love Savannah even more. |

I was born in Bedford-Stuyvesant, New York. I served in the US Army twice, both times as an Ammunition Specialist. I was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm.
I love the NFL, reading, playing handball and riding my bike. In addition, I am a music, television and film aficionado. One of my favorite movie scenes is when Forrest Gump is in Vietnam and Lt. Dan orders him to stay put. Nevertheless, Forrest proceeds back into the jungle yelling, “I gotta find Bubba!” I believe, whenever possible, one should never leave a friend behind.
I earned a BA in English and plan to pursue my MA in Film & Television at Savannah College of Art & Design. I have visited many places but am a native Nu Yawker at heart. I love the beach and warm weather, and now live in Savannah with my two children. |

Julie |
|
Hi! I’m Julie, and I’m very proud of the fact that I am a true native Savannahian. I love Savannah and love being on the East coast. When I’m not working for Old Town Trolley, I’m busy with my family that consists of 2 sons, ages 23 and 17 years, and my daughter who is 15 years old. You can always find us on the soccer field or kayaking or enjoying the beach. On the weekends we love downtown with its many music venues and we enjoy Forsyth Park regularly. We also attend Savannah Christian Church together, and we volunteer extensively whenever possible.
My favorite hobbies and activities include kayaking, reading, boating, swimming, traveling, gardening, and listening to good music.
I came to work here because I enjoy showing Southern hospitality to our great city’s many visitors. I found I could best do this by serving as a tour guide and conductor. This career will enable me to teach our visitors about Savannah’s rich history and also to do so in a fun and entertaining way. Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah is the number 1 company that assists our vacationing guests and I’m proud to be a part of their team! |

Michael “Lil Mickey” |
|
Hi! My name is Little Mickey. I was born and raised right here in Savannah, GA. I am the second oldest of five children, and I was educated in the public school system of Savannah. I received my BA degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 1988. My father and I worked together for 30 years. I have been happily married for 24 years to my lovely wife, Linda, and we have 3 grown children.
I enjoy collecting coins and paper money. In my spare time I go to all the coin shows I can. I also enjoy gardening, reading, and baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves and the New York Yankees.
I came to Old Town Trolley Tours because I saw an ad in the morning paper about becoming a conductor, so I decided to apply because I lived in both the Historic and Victorian Districts. Savannah is a beautiful old city and I thought this would be a fun job. It turned out I was right – I am really enjoying working here at Old Town Trolley! |

Greetings! My name is Merry, and I am a conductor for Old Town Trolley Tours. I have always been interested in Savannah’s History, as I have walked the squares of Savannah for many years, and have been quite taken at Savannah’s historical significance.
My degree in college was in History, and I specialized in European History as I found it most interesting. I grew up between two lovely cities in the South, one of those cities was Augusta, Georgia, and the other Charleston, South Carolina, and lived in the historical districts of both.
I do know that all this contributes to my interest in being a part of Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah, as well as being a CASTmember. |

Terry |
|
Hey there! I’m Terry, close friends call me “T”, my wife refers to me as “Mr. Hayes”, Mom calls me “#1 Son”, and my Caribbean friends just say “Boss” – you’ve got lots of choices if you want to get my attention!
I am a Vietnam Era Vet, world traveler (18 countries), former IBM Customer Engineer, father of four, and grandfather of one (so far). I studied photography at Massy College (now named the Art Institute of Atlanta), worked as a photojournalist and as a portrait photographer in the Middle East. My favorite food is Thai and my favorite place is the island of Jamaica where I lived and worked and never suffered “Island Fever”.
I fell in love with Savannah while shooting a photo assignment here. I love the live oaks and moss, the small town atmosphere, abundance of seafood, plethora of history, and an excellent growth industry which I work in – tourism. It’s also an excellent place for my grand kids to visit me, and there’s much more warm weather than cold- very important to me! Uh-oh, I think I was supposed to be brief. Enjoy your stay! |
