Take a Trolley Tour
trolleyOld Town Trolley has been entertaining visitors to Savannah for over 30 years, and while you’re aboard their open-air trolley, the breezes keep you cool. Plus, you’re not driving around in your car, looking for parking and getting in and out of your car at dozens of different attractions. The tour is one of the most comprehensive sightseeing excursions available, showing you more than 100 of Savannah’s best points of interest including The Andrew Low House, the Cathedral of St. John, the Kehoe House, Forsyth Park, River Street and more. Trolley Stop #7 and #8: Telfair Museums

The museums include the Telfair Museum of Art, the Owens-Thomas House, and the Jepson Center for the arts. Art enthusiasts, history buffs and anyone who enjoys observing great works of art will enjoy all of these museums. The Telfair is home to more than 4,500 works of art from US and international artists, fine arts, period furniture, decorative arts and more. The Jepson is one of the most modern facilities of its kind - showcasing photography, unique exhibitions and various artistic displays. Tour all the Telfair Museums to stay cool while viewing extraordinary displays.

Trolley Stop #3: Sorrel-Weed House
Considered one of the most haunted places in Savannah, the Sorrel-Weed House was built in 1840 and is a state landmark. It is a beautiful example of Greek Revival architecture and one of the many that can be seen throughout the city. You can take a tour of this historic building and learn about its intriguing past while you’re staying cool from the summer sun.

Georgia State Railroad Museum
This is a great place for both kids and adults to enjoy. It is the oldest and largest existing 19th century railroad operations complex in the nation, with construction dating back to the 1850’s. There are permanent exhibits and a roundhouse with an operating turntable. You’ll also see steam and diesel locomotives, rail cars, steam powered machinery, model railroads and much more.
