Old Town Trolley ConductorWelcome to Savannah! This beautiful city is the fourth Historic Tours of America city I have had the pleasure of working in. I started working for the company in San Diego, CA and arrived here in Savannah from Boston in October 2003.

I was born in Florida, but spent most of my formative years in New York; first the Bronx, then Long Island. I attended Hofstra University in New York where I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Business Administration in 1990. After nearly two years in the corporate banking sector, I decided I wanted to go back to school, and moved to San Diego, CA to attend California Western School of Law, from which I graduated in 1994. I practiced law for three years but ultimately decided it wasn’t the career for me. I decided once again to go back to school but never made it, instead finding my calling in of all things, “The Trolley Business.” I have remained because HTA and Old Town Trolley are terrific companies to work for and hire only the most wonderful people to serve as our CASTmembers. I am confident that in your travels with us you will certainly find this to be the case.

I am an active individual (running, soccer, etc.), family, reading, culture and in life in general. I am also the fortunate recipient of the love of a wonderful wife, and the blessing our son Holden, who joined the Brazil clan in 2008. We have built a happy home just outside of Savannah. We have also recently expanded our Georgia contingent with the arrival of my parents from Long Island, as they’ve retired in Bluffton, SC, just over the border from GA. If I could just get my two brothers here, I’d be in heaven!

Please let me know if there is anything we can do to make your stay a memorable one. ENJOY!

old town trolley cast memberHi! My name is Janice. I am the eldest of three children. I was born January 17, 1965.

I attended Chatham County Public Schools here in Savannah, and graduated in 1983 from Savannah High School. After high school, I started working at Coastal Chemicals and stayed there for 3 ½ years. In 1987, I had my first child, a girl named Janisha Jontae’ Brown.

In 1988, opportunity meant for me to work at Union Camp Corp. Working at Union Camp, I met my future husband, James Emerson Jr. We have two children, James Emerson III (5 years old), and Janae’ Briana Emerson (4 years old). We were married on May 10, 1996.

After my 2 children were old enough, I started working at Laidlaw Transit, around September of 1998. My hobbies are skating, swimming, walking, reading, listening to jazz, and spending time with my children. I feel wonderful being able to work here at Old Town Trolley.

Phil - Concierge
orange line
old town trolley cast memberI come by the way of the “Buckeye” State of Ohio. My travels leading me to Savannah have been both exciting and challenging. After over 20 years in the dental field (both technical and sales – private and corporate – merger after merger), I decided my desire to be creative needed to take precedence. Sculpture became the director of my life. I have been here in Savannah for five years which has led me to Old Town Trolley and the Concierge position, and it appears to be a blessing in disguise.

Jon - Operations Manager
orange line

jonMy wife Judy and I live in beautiful Bluffton South Carolina.  We have four children and six grandchildren.

I currently work as the Operations Manager after joining OTT as a Tour Conductor in February 2008. I really had a lot of fun in the Tour Conductor job, particularly doing the Paula Deen tour. I had retired very early after a 25+ year career as a Human Resources executive for several organizations and was one of the fortunate few that really enjoyed their career choice. After retiring my wife thought I might want to keep myself a little busier.  I had always had a love of history and wanted a really fun job. One day I saw an advertisement for Tour Conductors and the rest is, as they say, history. In October 2008 the Human Resources/Payroll Manager position became available and I moved into that position until June 2014. It was great to get to work for all of our CASTmembers in the Human Resources/Payroll Manager position.

When I’m away from work I love to ride my bicycles, run and swim. I compete in triathlons and in 2014 I qualified for the triathlon age group national championship. I also love to race my Spec Miata in SCCA and I teach High Performance Driving on race tracks throughout the southeast. My wife and I love to travel together and see the sights this big old world has to offer.

marcieWelcome to the wonderful city of Savannah. Being the Groups and Charter Manager in this amazing city is the best job ever. I grew up about 20 miles outside of Savannah and I am the third of six children. The greatest joy and love of my life is my five wonderful children; the time and experiences we’ve shared are immeasurable. I enjoy meeting guests from all over the world and telling them all the wonderful stories about our beautiful city.
