| Charles - General Manager |
 |
Welcome
to Savannah! This beautiful city is the
fourth Historic Tours of America city that I have had the pleasure
of working in. I started working for the company in San Diego,
California, and departed from Boston, MA back in October 2003.
I was born in Florida, but spent most of my formative
years in New York. I started out in the Bronx, and then relocated
to Long Island. I attended Hofstra University in New York where
I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Business Administration
in 1990. After nearly two years in the corporate banking sector,
I decided I wanted to go back to school. I relocated to San
Diego, California to attend California Western School of Law, and
graduated in 1994. I practiced law for three years, but ultimately
decided it wasn’t the career for me. I decided once again
to go back to school, but never made it, instead I found my calling
in of all things, “The Trolley Business.” I have
remained because Historic Tours of America and Old Town Trolley are
terrific companies to work for and hire only the most wonderful people
to serve as our CAST members. I am confident that in your travels
with us, you will certainly find this to be the case.
I am an active individual, a lover of sports (surfing,
basketball, aerobics) culture (live theater, music, literature and
art) and life. I have a beautiful wife, Tammy, and a wonderful
family including the most beautiful niece and nephew on the planet. I
hope someday to have a family of my own, to travel the world, to
jump from an airplane, and to help make Old Town Trolley Tours of
Savannah the most successful operation in the Historic Tours of America
family of businesses (not necessarily in that order).
Please let me know if there is anything we can do to
make your stay a memorable one. |

Hi! My name is Janice. I am the eldest of three children. I was born January 17, 1965.
I attended Chatham County Public Schools here in Savannah, and graduated in 1983 from Savannah High School. After high school, I started working at Coastal Chemicals and stayed there for 3 ½ years. In 1987, I had my first child, a girl named Janisha Jontae’ Brown.
In 1988, opportunity meant for me to work at Union Camp Corp. Working at Union Camp, I met my future husband, James Emerson Jr. We have two children, James Emerson III (5 years old), and Janae’ Briana Emerson (4 years old). We were married on May 10, 1996.
After my 2 children were old enough, I started working at Laidlaw Transit, around September of 1998. My hobbies are skating, swimming, walking, reading, listening to jazz, and spending time with my children. I feel wonderful being able to work here at Old Town Trolley. |

Hey y’all. My name is Joyce and my friends call me Joyce-e. I’m a native of Savannah, raised on the water, and I love the smell of the salt marshes. I have two daughters, Kristen is 27 and Melanie is 17. I also have two wonderful grandchildren (Isaac and Laurianna). My family is my pride and joy. The grandchildren call me G.J., short for Grandma Joyce.
I’m definitely a “people person” and totally
devoted to my family and friends. I’ve
been with Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah since 1999. I left
the insurance industry after 15 years and never looked back.
The CAST members here at Old Town Trolley are my second family.
That’s what we are all about, making our family and friends
feel welcome.
I’m proud to be aboard “The Nation’s Storyteller” and
look forward to showing you my hometown so that you too can experience
our Southern Hospitality. |

| Phil - Concierge |
|
I come by the way of the “Buckeye” State of Ohio. My travels leading me to Savannah have been both exciting and challenging. After over 20 years in the dental field (both technical and sales – private and corporate – merger after merger), I decided my desire to be creative needed to take precedence. Sculpture became the director of my life. I have been here in Savannah for five years which has led me to Old Town Trolley and the Concierge position, and it appears to be a blessing in disguise. |

| Jon - HR / Payroll Manager |
|
Hi. I’m Jon. My wife Judy and I live in Bluffton, South Carolina. We have four children and three grandchildren.
I’m originally from Charleston, West Virginia but have lived in various places around the US. I enjoyed a 25-year career as a Human Resources executive with several organizations and was one of those fortunate few who loved their career choice. When I retired a couple of years ago my wife was kind enough to let me play golf and ride my bicycles for a couple of years. She then thought I might want to keep myself a little more occupied! So here I am … I started my career at OTT as a Tour Conductor and after several months filled the need here as HR/Payroll Manager. |

I came to Old Town Trolley because I love working with the public and interacting with many different kinds of people. Also, my brother, Kenny, has worked at Old Town Trolley for 11 years. |

Kenny
- Safety Officer/Trainer |
|
I was born in Spartanburg, SC in 1951. I
am the eldest of 3 children. My primary education was at St.
Joseph Catholic School in Columbia, SC. While I was in high school,
my parents moved to Macon, GA, so I finished high school there. I
then furthered my studies and spent 2 years at Macon Junior College.
A slow economy and the privilege of youth allowed me the opportunity
to relocate to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. It was there that I met my
first wife and started a career in sales—first with a potato
chip route and then selling cars. I have a daughter named Sarah,
who is now attending Broward Community College in Ft. Lauderdale.
Because of family, I returned to GA and settled in Savannah. I
continued in Auto Sales for a while, but then moved into the antique
business.
I’ve been with Old Town Trolley now for 11 years, and have really
seen it all! I’ve enjoyed being a Conductor, Safety Officer,
and Training Officer for the best tour company in Savannah! |
