  Where can I park?

Parking in Washington can be difficult; there are few private lots, and street parking is extremely limited. Union Station has a parking garage, and the city suspends most parking regulations on weekends. It is also sometimes possible to park at an outlying metro station and take public transit into the city.

  What are your hours?

Tours begin at 9:00am, and run every half-hour until 5:30pm (4:30pm in the winter). To ensure that you get back to your starting point we suggest that you be prepared to board at about 5:00pm (4:00pm in the winter).

  Do you run on weekends?

We run seven days a week throughout the year; we are closed on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, and the Fourth of July. In addition, we do not run the day of Rolling Thunder (usually the Sunday before Memorial Day) or the day of the Marine Corps Marathon (sometime in late October), as these events tie up large portions of our tour routes for the duration of the day.

  Are the tours narrated?

All of our tours are fully narrated, and our guides are accredited by the city government.

Your trolley came by, and it’s full. What do I do?

Don’t panic. The driver will alert the dispatcher to the problem, and the dispatcher will take steps to correct it; this usually entails sending an extra trolley to pick up some of the guests.
