"We recently met our family from N.C. in Washington DC. There were 6 of us total. We called ahead regarding a wheelchair bound member of our party to make arrangements for a lift trolley. The trolley was prompt to pick us up at Union Station & loaded the wheelchair first, then allowed the rest of our party to load next. After us, then the rest of the people waiting were allowed to board. The guides were knowledgeable and extremely helpful and friendly and answered all questions. Each time we got off, the driver of the lift trolley would give us his phone number to call when we were ready for pick up. This was very considerate. We never had to wait long for our trolley to arrive. These drivers went above & beyond their job description. The second day of our trolley tour, was even more special. The lift trolley was assigned just for us & it would take us wherever we wanted to go. It also loaded people waiting in line, but made an announcement as to where the trolley would be going out of service. It took us directly to Arlington Cemetery so we wouldn't have to switch to the bus line. It offered this service to others that wanted to go to Arlington, but everyone else needed to exit. The driver from our first day trolley was dispatching the second day and he made all these special arrangements for us. I believe that by doing this for us, he would have done it for anyone else. This is a special kind of person and company. We would like to thank "Pete" for this special treatment. Also our driver for day #2, John, who had the responsibility of taking such good care of us all day. They both deserve special thanks and a great deal of our appreciation. Even after the last official stop at 5:30, the driver offered to take us back to where we were parked, rather than having to catch the Metro, and dropped another passenger at their hotel on the way.
