Prepare yourself for a night you’ll never forget at The Old Jail After Dark. Our 2 hour and 30-minute experience allows visitors to participate in an actual paranormal investigation of St. Augustine’s most haunted building, the Old Jail.
Use Cutting Edge Paranormal Investigation Equipment Just Like You See on TV!
Join our team of professionals on an actual paranormal investigation of the St. Augustine Old Jail. Recognized as one of the most haunted buildings in the country, the Old Jail is shrouded in mystery and lore. The historic building housed prisoners from 1891 to 1953 when it was closed due to its deplorable conditions and the cruelty that it inflicted on its residents. Eight documented hangings were carried out on this site in addition to many other deaths that can only be described as unnatural. Perhaps these are the reasons why many believe the Old Jail to be an epicenter for paranormal activity and why it has become a popular destination for ghost hunters everywhere.
Before your investigation begins, our experienced guides will share their investigative techniques to prepare you for any strange and peculiar phenomena that you may encounter. Each guest will be provided with and trained to use an array of traditional and state-of-the-art ghost hunting equipment. You may also feel free to bring your own. We use a wide variety of tools of the trade to find evidence of ghosts and other supernatural beings.
Immediately following the conclusion of your investigation, our experts will help you to rule out any logical explanations from your findings and to help you understand any paranormal or psychic phenomena that you may have just experienced. You, the investigator, will then be left to decide whether or not you believe the Old Jail is truly haunted.
TIP: Don’t forget to bring your cell phone. Your cell phone is an all-in-one ghost hunting tool. Not only is it great for capturing photographic evidence, its audio recorder is almost professional grade and is great for capturing Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP.)
This tour is not suitable for children and you must be at least 13-years-old to attend.
