Guests also have the convenient option to disembark at the Historic City Market to explore local vendors and artisans.

You can choose to depart here to explore the local artisans and restaurants or remain on board for the return to the Visitor Center.
The Old Town Trolley does not travel directly to Fort Sumter, but our Battery Point stop provides an excellent view of the monument across the harbor. Since our tour begins and ends at the Charleston Visitor Center, you will be just a short walk or a quick shuttle ride away from the ferry departure point.
No, the Old Town Trolley route is contained within the Charleston Peninsula and does not travel to the surrounding beaches. Our tour is focused on the Historic District and the 350 years of history found within the city limits. We recommend private transportation or ride-shares for trips to Isle of Palms or Folly Beach.
Parking at the Charleston Visitor Center is not free, though several paid facilities are located nearby for your convenience. The Visitor Center Garage at 63 Mary Street is the most popular option and is situated just steps from our boarding location.
While we do not have a dedicated stop inside the terminal, our main depot at the Visitor Center is a short 5-minute taxi or rideshare from the pier. Most cruise passengers board here.
