Charleston carries centuries of history in its streets, churchyards, and old neighborhoods. By daylight, the city is known for its charm and Southern beauty. But once the sun goes down, the Holy City reveals stories that don’t feel as distant. From early hardships and restless spirits to tales passed down for generations, Charleston’s past leaves a mark that lingers long after dark.
Step into this side of the city with Ghosts & Gravestones Charleston. Explore narrow streets, historic corners, and eerie landmarks as you hear the stories that shaped one of America’s oldest cities.
Ghosts & Gravestones Charleston brings you into the city’s spooky history through a guided nighttime journey. You’ll ride aboard a luxurious air-conditioned vehicle while your costumed Ghost Host shares the ghost stories and real events tied to the city’s past.
The highlight of the night is exclusive access inside Bethany Cemetery. The gates stay locked to the public after dark, but this tour leads you past them for a lantern-lit walk through one of Charleston’s oldest resting places. Lanterns are handed out as you enter, giving the cemetery a glow that makes each step feel closer to the stories that still echo through the headstones.
This is the only ghost tour in Charleston with access inside Bethany Cemetery at night.
Your Ghost Host guides you through some of the city’s oldest streets and eerie landmarks tied to Charleston’s darker chapters. You’ll hear about the people who lived, struggled, and left stories behind that continue to be told today.
