‘Georgia’s First City,’ is replete with Old World charm, Antebellum homes, sprawling plantations and a haunting mystique that is hard to resist. Let this cobble-stone strewn, Spanish Moss laden Southern Gothic wonderland take you under its spell. Eventually, however, you’ll want more and Savannah is only too happy to oblige. Big, green plazas and public squares, plenty of places to procure an adult beverage, some of the most innovative cooking in the New South and some great shopping are all reasons to visit Savannah and never leave.
But, if you must, make sure to take something back with you to remember her by. The open-air City Market has been a shopping hub since the 1700s where, today, you can sample a bevy of fine wines and small-batch beers at the Georgia Tasting Room. If it’s trendy, fun fashions you’re after, visit Twinkle boutique.
