SOUL OF MUSIC CITY NIGHT TOUR: July 1st, July 2nd & July 3rd
Due to scheduled road closures associated with Nashville’s 4th of July festivities, the Soul of Music City Night Tours on July 1st, July 2nd & July 3rd will depart from 138 5th Ave N. (at the Old Town Trolley Depot located on the corner of 5th Ave N. & Commerce St.) Due to these road closures, the night tour on these nights will not be able to drive down lower Broadway or walk the Pedestrian Bridge.
Located on the northern edge of Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park near Jefferson Street, the 95-bell carillon represents the musical heritage of the citizens of Tennessee. There is a bell for each of the Volunteer State’s 95 counties. Each quarter hour, the carillon plays a portion of the Tennessee Waltz. At the top of every hour, the 50-tower carillon plays the entire song. A 96th bell on the capitol grounds rings an answer symbolizing the government answering the call of the people.
The towers surround the Court of 3 Stars that represents Eastern, Middle and Western Tennessee.
