Chesapeake Bay Bridge 10K Race
The Chesapeake Bay Bridge 10K Race, officially named Across the Bay 10K, will bring approximately 20,000 runners together to compete in a 6.2-mile race that includes a 4.3-mile trek across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The race will benefit several local charities: The Yellow Ribbon Fund, Bosom Buddies Charities, The Team in Training Program and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. The race includes a weekend of events including a Runners Expo and a Kids Run. This will be a great event for the whole family with participants and spectators enjoying the fantastic scenery of one of Maryland's most treasured landmarks. Gettysburg Remembrance Day Parade
Abraham Lincoln’s famous “Gettysburg Address” and the dedication of the Soldiers’ National Cemetery are commemorated with a special ceremony, a parade and an illumination of the cemetery. The parade features Civil War living history groups. Located at Downtown Gettysburg in Lincoln Square. The Parade Route starts on LeFever Street, goes west on Middle Street, over to Baltimore Street and then onto Steinwehr Avenue.
