Free First Thursday at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Join us on the first Thursday of every month for a restorative evening of discovery and community. Museum admission is free from 3 pm through 9 pm and interactive programs kick off at 5 pm. Artists, activists, and musicians share songs, stories, and activities inspired by the Museum’s current exhibitions that ask us to consider who we honor, who we forget, and who we erase.

Sheep Shearing Festival

Get ready for another unbaahhlievable Sheep Shearing Festival. Since 1987, this annual event has entertained guests with music, 100+ craft and fiber artists, demonstrations of traditional shearing and herding dogs, and historic re-enactors on the beautiful grounds of this historic, 50-acre estate. According to Executive Director and festival organizer Susan Robertson, “We’re proud that the Sheep Shearing Festival has become a New England spring tradition for so many.”
