Our Welcome Center, Stop 20, is temporarily closed. The St. Augustine Ghosts & Gravestones boarding location has changed temporarily to the Old Town Trolley Welcome Center at 1305 N. Ponce de Leon Blvd. These changes will remain until the construction of our new Welcome Center at 27 San Marco is complete (Spring 2019).

The English corsair, Sir Francis Drake, and his raiders return to St. Augustine for an authentic re-creation of the 1586 sack of the city. Join Drake and his raiders from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. for the 16th century-style military encampment at the Fountain of Youth Park located at 11 Magnolia Ave.; regular park admission applies. There will be drills, demonstrations and living history interpretations. The re-enactment of the sacking and burning of the town will be at 7 p.m. in the old city, beginning at the City Gate on Orange Avenue and ending in the Plaza de la Constitución. Admission: Regular park admission rates apply for the Fountain of Youth Park ($15 for adults, $14 for seniors ages 60 and over, $9 for children ages 6-12, and free for toddlers 5 and under). The Saturday evening reenactment downtown is free.

Battle of Bloody Mose

The 1740 Spanish victory at the Battle of Bloody Mose is reenacted annually in St. Augustine. This will be the 277th anniversary of the battle, and the event will be presented by Florida Living History, Inc., and the Fort Mose Historical Society from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Fort Mose, just north of historic St. Augustine. The event is free. Admission to park grounds is also free, but there is a $2.00 per adult fee to enter the visitor center. Children under 6 are always free.
