On Saturday June 15th and Sunday June 16th, due to the filming of a new miniseries that takes place in downtown Washington, DC, stop 16, the Newseum and National Gallery of Art and stop 17, the National Portrait Gallery and the American Art Museum will be closed all day. Step inside the final home of Woodrow Wilson and feel the inspiration of one of our country’s greatest leaders. In this historic home, personal artifacts, memorabilia, photographs and items are on display for all to see and enjoy. Walk into the elegant dining room where Wilson and his wife enjoyed meals and hosted family, friends and world leaders. See the main bedrooms where items that belonged to the President and his wife are still in place.

Built in 1915, the Wilsons purchased the house in 1921 and lived there together until Woodrow Wilson passed away. Remarkably preserved, the Wilson house is a favorite spot for visitors from all over the world and serves as an insightful look into the life, leadership and personality of our 28th President. Tours often include a video which offers information about the house and its artifacts.
