Please be advised of route changes taking place today.

On Sunday, June 24th the Boston Athletic Association will be running the BAA 10K through the streets around the Back Bay and Fenway Park.  The race will move Stop #6, Trolley Store, to Park Plaza, behind the Four Seasons Hotel and close Stop #7, Cheers Bar, for most if not all of the morning.  In addition to the race there is an afternoon Red Sox game. Because of the Race AND the Game, we will be closing stop #12, Fenway Park, for the entire day.  Guests can easily access Fenway Park from Stop #11.  Your tour conductor can direct you to the Park!
On days there is a Game or other event at Fenway Park, Old Town Trolley Service to Stop # 12 (Fenway Park) will cease one hour before the start if the event and recommence 1/2 hour after the event starts. During and at the end of the Ball Game or event, we will monitor traffic at Fenway and at our discretion may suspend service to Stop #12
Guest are advised that Fenway is a relatively easy walk from Stop # 11, Dalton Street, during the time Stop # 12 is closed.

Massachusetts State House

15 Stop 15
boston massachusetts state house

In the distinctive gold-domed building atop Beacon Hill, the past meets the present. On weekdays, you can discover Massachusetts’ history on a free tour of the center of the state government. The building, completed in 1798, was designed by Charles Bulfinch to replace the Old State House.

In addition to housing the state government, the State House also displays various portraits of governors, murals depicting the state’s heritage, and statues inside and on its grounds. The building is recognizable because of its dome sheathed in copper and covered by 23 karat gold, as seen in the film The Departed.
