ArtWalk
Liberty Station
In 2022, ArtWalk at Liberty Station celebrates 17 years of bringing fine art to San Diego at beautiful Liberty Station. The show celebrates the creativity from both sides of the border, with more than 150 artists coming from across several states and Mexico to show and sell their artwork, including paintings, photography, glass and ceramic, jewelry and sculpture. The Arts District at Liberty Station has blossomed into San Diego’s premier venue for the arts, museums, dining and entertainment. The fabulous outdoor setting features a verdant lawn, gorgeous water features, and an abundance of free parking. August 6: 10AM – 6PM. August 7: 10AM – 5PM.

The Balboa Park 8 Miler is the longest consecutively run race in San Diego (68 years old!) and the only one that offers a full tour of Balboa Park! The race will start and finish in the Pan American Plaza, located in front of the Comic-Con Museum. Participants will enjoy a unique and challenging route through Balboa Park’s scenic landmarks, trails, bridges and windy roads!

Imperial Beach
Summertime and sandcastles are an Imperial Beach tradition. For one year only, the Sun & Sea Festival Committee will honor Imperial Beach’s love of sandcastles. San Diego County’s largest sandcastle competition will be replaced by the largest sandcastle ever built on Imperial Beach sand. This massive sandcastle will be built at Portwood Pier Plaza by the multi-award-winning professional team and hometown favorite, I.B. Posse.

This non-competitive community bike ride is for riders of all abilities and will take you on a scenic, and primarily flat ride, around the San Diego Bay via the Bayshore Bikeway.
