Mexico Gourmet Festival
Mexico Gourmet Festival will take place at the Embarcadero Marina Park South in the San Diego Bay. The festival is a one-night tribute to Mexican gastronomy, traditions and art, offering guests the chance to sample the cuisine and products from some of the most prominent chefs, restaurants, artists and vendors on both sides of the border, while experiencing the sights and sounds of Mexico.
The marathon consists of a 26.2-mile foot-race, a half marathon, and a post race concert at the end of the route. 20+ bands will play live music along the course. The races feature a revamped half marathon course. The marathon and half marathon will continue to start in Balboa Park, with both distances starting together at 6:15am. The half marathon course highlights include: A Balboa Park Start Line, a city tour under the iconic Hillcrest, North Park, Mission Hills, and Normal Heights signs, and a downhill finish to the end at the Waterfront Park.
Saint Spyridon Church Greek Festival 3-day Event
Saint Spyridon Church, 3655 Park Blvd.
This Greek festival offers a friendly atmosphere of lively music and dancing, wine & spirits, delicious Greek foods and tempting pastries. You can shop for imported merchandise that you might not find anywhere else. Tours of the Saint Spyridon Church are also offered.
San Diego Festival of the Arts
San Diego Magazine and Torrey Pines Kiwanis’ San Diego Festival of the Arts gathers nearly 200 artists in a bay view setting of original fine art, entertainment and delicious cuisines, complemented with fine wine and craft beer as you stroll the turf of Waterfront Park. San Diego Festival of the Arts garners critically acclaimed artists from around the country for an elegant and high-quality showcase. The Japan Society’s Beer & Sake Festival is a popular and fast-growing charity tasting event featuring local restaurants serving sumptuous appetizers and breweries pouring tasty beers and sakes. The festival also includes a silent auction, a raffle, and exciting entertainment. Guests will enjoy the dynamic sounds of San Diego Taiko, and a tuna cutting demonstration. Proceeds from the Beer & Sake Festival support educational and community outreach programs.
